Contemporary thriller "The Whistleblower" hits Chinese theaters

BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- "The Whistleblower," a thriller about a Chinese expatriate who discovers a conspiracy at the firm he is working for, hit Chinese theaters Friday.

The film is written and directed by Xue Xiaolu, a renowned Chinese screenwriter and director, who wrote and directed the films "Ocean Heaven" starring Jet Li and "Finding Mr. Right."

The film revolves around a Chinese expat working in Australia for a local company. Following a fatal accident, he discovers that the new technology developed by the company may have tremendous safety concerns and investigates a web of conspiracies in his search for the truth.

The cast is led by Tang Wei and Lei Jiayin. Enditem
