SHANGHAI, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- The following are art festivals, shows and exhibitions available in Shanghai in the coming week:
Green Bank Art Festival 2019
Date: Daily until Dec. 15, 2019
Venue: Modern Art Museum and the riverbank
Introduction:
The festival is a remembrance of the old garden residence of Lu Shen, a scholar of the Imperial Academy in the Ming Dynasty and the man who gave Lujiazui its name. The festival will showcase public installations and artworks from over 20 international artists.
Turandot: Puccini Opera
Date: Dec. 13-15
Venue: Shanghai Grand Theatre
Introduction:
Turandot is Giacomo Puccini's final opera and one of the biggest blockbusters in the genre. This particular version is produced by Shanghai Opera House and premiered in Shanghai Grand Theatre in January 2018.
The Art of the Brick
Date: Dec. 7-March 15, 2020
Venue: Tank Shanghai
Tank No. 5 shows the Art of the Brick, an exhibition of 89 artworks built with LEGO bricks by American artist Nathan Sawaya. Visitors will see classics like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Enditem
