SHANGHAI, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures closed lower Monday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
The most active gold contract for February delivery was down 4.15 yuan (about 59 U.S. cents) to close at 333.6 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for eight listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 470,336 lots, with a turnover of about 157.69 billion yuan.
