Tarim Oilfield daily gas output exceeds 85 mln cubic meters

URUMQI, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Daily natural gas output of China's Tarim Oilfield has surpassed 85 million cubic meters for the first time, the oilfield said Friday.
This year the oilfield plans to produce 28.53 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 1.9 billion more than that of 2018.
As China's third-largest onshore oil and gas producer, the Tarim Oilfield's natural gas output accounted for one-sixth of China's total domestic gas output.
The Tarim oilfield has been a key provider for the country's 4,000-km west-to-east gas pipeline project, benefiting 400 million people and 3,000 enterprises in more than 120 cities, according to the company.
The oilfield has provided over 240 billion cubic meters of natural gas since 2004 when the project began operation. Enditem
