SHANGHAI, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- The following are art festivals, shows and exhibitions available in Shanghai in the coming week:

Wang Peiyu at the "Qingyin table"

Date: Dec. 16, 2019

Venue: Shanghai Grand Theatre

Introduction: Wang Peiyu, one of the most celebrated Peking Opera elderly male-role player, tries to resume the popular "Qingyin table" performance which prevailed at the end of the Qing Dynasty. During this performance, Peking Opera actors do not dress up as ancients, and may choose repertoire randomly at will according to the environment and atmosphere, just like a small salon party.

Passing Through Architecture: The 10 Years of Gordon Matta-Clark

Date: Daily except Mon. until Feb. 16, 2020

Venue: Power Station of Art

Introduction: PSA is showing the work of Gordon Matta-Clark, a celebrated American artist that cut neat holes through the walls of entire buildings as if drawing freely in the space. His work transcends conventional artistic genres.
