TEHRAN -- Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to visit Russia on Monday to hold talks with his Russian counterpart on bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments, the Financial Tribune daily reported Saturday.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will exchange views on "prospects for further strengthening bilateral political dialogue and developing ties in trade, economic, cultural and other fields," the report said.(Iran-Russia)

CAIRO -- A total of 23 people were killed and seven others were injured after a bus overturned on Saturday in Egypt's Port Said, northwest of the capital Cairo.

The bus, carrying factory laborers, crashed into a truck on Port Said-Damietta highway before it overturned, the state-run MENA news agency said. (Egypt-Road Accident)

ALGIERS -- Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune Saturday appointed Abdelaziz Djerrad as prime minister and requested him to form a cabinet, official media reported.

The state-run radio Channel III noted that Djerrad has already served as secretary general at the presidency in the era of President Liamine Zeroual from 1994 to 1997, and diplomatic adviser for interim President Ali Kafi from 1992 to 1994. (Algeria-PM)

DAMASCUS -- Unknown aircraft targeted a prison run by the Turkey-backed rebels in the city of Azaz in northern Syria on Saturday, a war monitor reported.
