SANAA, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebels on Sunday said it put "sensitive" locations in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a list of targets, vowing to strike them if the war against Yemen is not halted.

"We have listed six sensitive sites in Saudi Arabia and three in the UAE as priority targets," Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a statement but did not elaborate on the sites.

"Our armed forces will strike all hostile moves that pose a threat to our forces, people and country," Sarea was quoted by Houthi-run al-Masirah television as saying.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have been leading an Arab military coalition against Iran-allied Houthis in Yemen for more than four years in support of the exiled internationally-recognized government of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

The Houthi escalation came after nearly four months of relative decline in cross-border attacks, after the Houthis said in September they would halt attacks on Saudi Arabia if the kingdom did the same.

The Houthis had waged missile and drone attacks on several Saudi border airports and oil facilities, causing damage.

But the largest attack took place on Sept. 14 and hit Saudi oil giant Aramco the Houthis had claimed responsibility for. The United States and Saudi Arabia, however, blamed the attack on Iran, which denied it. Enditem
