BEIJING, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- The following is a list of major shows, concerts, exhibitions and events in China for Thursday:

-- Concert "Tessa Souter Quartet"

Location: Blue Note Shanghai

Time: 7:30 p.m.

With a crystalline sound and an unerring ear for fresh and unexpected material, Tessa Souter is a New York-based Anglo-Trinidadian jazz vocalist. Ever since the release of her 2004 debut "Listen Love," she has cast an increasingly wide net, contributing original lyrics to instrumental jazz standards and reimagining classic British rock.

The quartet features Souter as the vocalist and consists of pianist Lawrence Fields, bassist Gary Wang and drummer Clarence Penn.

-- Flamenco "An Ode to Time"

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location: National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing

As part of the 20th "Meeting in Beijing" Arts Festival, the flamenco is performed by Spanish dancer and choreographer Maria Pages.

The constant tension between the individual and the community, the circle and the straight line, the argument and the abstraction, silence and percussion is highlighted in the performance.

-- Immersive play "Alice's Adventures Underground"

Time: 6:15 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.

Location: Daning Little Manor, Shanghai

The immersive theater "Alice's Adventures Underground" is adapted from Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."

Different from the traditional relationship between the performer and the audience, immersive theater includes the audience in the drama and gives the audience unique feelings from different perspectives. Enditem
