SHANGHAI, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed higher Wednesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for February delivery was up 0.8 yuan (about 12 U.S. cents) to close at 508.1 yuan a barrel.
The total trading volume for 10 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 148,965 lots, with a turnover of about 75.7 billion yuan.
