TIANJIN, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Police in north China's Tianjin Municipality said Monday that over 3,000 suspects were arrested in more than 2,000 economic crimes last year.
An estimated economic loss of 45 billion yuan (about 6.5 billion U.S. dollars) was recovered as a result, the municipal public security bureau said.
The number of economic crime cases was down over 40 percent in Tianjin, official statistics showed.
According to the bureau, the innovative risk control analysis based on data detection, cloud-intelligent warning and capital tracking in companies has proven effective in preventing illegal fund-raising crimes. Enditem
