"Little Women" Chinese mainland release set for Feb. 14

BEIJING, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- "Little Women," a new feature film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel of the same name, is set for release on the Chinese mainland on Feb. 14, production firm Columbia Pictures announced Monday via its official Weibo account.

Directed by Greta Gerwig, an American actress, screenwriter and film director, the upcoming movie tells of four sisters coming of age in America in the aftermath of the Civil War.

"Little Women" premiered in the United States on Dec. 25, 2019.

The highly-anticipated film currently boasts a score of 8.7 out of 10 on Chinese film review platform Douban based on more than 5,700 reviews. Enditem
