VILLARS, Switzerland, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Youth Winter Olympic Games' new sport Ski Mountaineering concluded here on Tuesday with team Switzerland winning the mixed relay race.

The Swiss team includes twin brothers Thomas Bussard and Robin Bussard, their female teammates Caroline Ulrich and Thibe Deseyn. The four skiers swept the gold and silver medals of men's and women's individual races earlier in YOG.

Tuesday's race witnessed the largest crowd so far in the YOG ski mountaineering competitions and Robin Bussard was obviously encouraged by the large turnout.

"It's amazing to be supported by so many people, I can feel their enthusiasm on this sport and Youth Olympics," Robin Bussard said.

Team Switzerland clocked 35 minutes and 7 seconds to beat France to the second place by 2 minutes and 3 seconds. Spain was only 2 seconds slower than French to finish third.

Begining with a mass start, mixed relay race includes 2 ascends and 2 descends, competing by the order of boy-girl-boy-girl relay. Enditem
