BEIJING, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- The following is a list of major shows, concerts, exhibitions and events in China for Monday:

-- Concert by China Film Symphony Orchestra

Location: National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Beijing

Time: 7:30 p.m.

The Chinese New Year-themed concert will bring audiences with a string of works at home and abroad, such as Mexican folk song "Beautiful Sky," Scotland ballad "Green Sleeves" and Chinese folk song "Jasmine Flower."

The orchestra is the first national symphony orchestra founded after the founding of New China, whose repertoire includes film music, pop music, Latin music and classic folk songs of the world.

-- Original musical "Notre Dame de Paris"

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location: SAIC Shanghai Culture Square, Shanghai

Based on the eponymous novel by Victor Hugo, the smash-hit musical "Notre Dame de Paris" tells a love tragedy between a young and beautiful gypsy girl named Esmeralda and Quasimodo, the hunchback bell-ringer of Notre Dame.

The French version returned to Chinese theaters after touring China in 2002. Since its premiere in Paris in 1998, the musical has been staged over 5,000 times worldwide in eight languages.

-- Musical "Beauty and the Beast"

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Location: Walt Disney Grand Theater, Shanghai

The Chinese version of the original Broadway musical "Beauty and the Beast" is staged at Walt Disney Grand Theater located in Disneytown at Shanghai Disney Resort, where audiences will be able to enjoy a subtle blend of the Broadway classic with Chinese elements.

"Beauty and the Beast" is the second co-produced Chinese version of a Disney musical by Shanghai Disney Resort and Disney Theatrical Production after the Chinese version of "The Lion King." Enditem
