BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

DINOSAUR FOSSIL

A dinosaur fossil found in northeastern China has been identified as a new species of tiny, winged and feathered dinosaurs by American and Chinese researchers.

The fossil, named Wulong bohaiensis, or "dancing dragon" in Chinese, is one of the earliest known relatives of the Velociraptor which lived 75 million years ago. Its closest known relative would have been the small, four-winged Microraptor.

SATELLITE NAVIGATION JOURNAL

A new English academic journal "Satellite Navigation" has just been launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Springer Nature.

The journal aims to report new results or progress on the theoretical techniques and applications of satellite navigation. It will publish original articles, reviews and commentaries that focus on studies such as satellite navigation signals, anti-jamming methods and time and coordinate reference systems, as well as intelligent applications.

SMART BUILDING

Chinese tech giant Tencent has launched a smart building operating system in Suzhou, eastern China's Jiangsu Province, to explore research and application of digital architecture.

The system will provide a technological, industrial and innovative hub that concentrates on the research, testing, demonstration and industrialization of smart buildings. Enditem
