NINGBO, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- The China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reported a gain in freight index in the route to India and Pakistan.
The NCFI, reflecting freight rate changes of 21 routes departing from the Ningbo-Zhoushan port, stood at 936.3 points Friday, down 0.3 percent compared with last week.
The sub-index for the route to India and Pakistan stood at 1,845.1 points, increasing by 3.8 percent from last week.
According to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange, liner companies will have carried out large-scale temporary suspensions since the Spring Festival. Some voyages during the festival will slightly increase booking prices to improve profits.
Reported every Friday (except Chinese holidays), the NCFI was first published in September 2013. Enditem
