JERUSALEM -- Israeli troops opened fire on Wednesday at Palestinian Islamic Jihad snipers in the Gaza Strip in response to the latter's attack, Israeli military said.

An Israeli military spokesperson said in a statement that the troops identified a sniper squad of the Jihad group that fired from the area of Khan Yunis in Gaza at the Israeli troops. (Israel-Gaza-Attack)

ANKARA -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday vowed to launch an operation into the Idlib province of Syria if the Syrian government does not retreat by the end of February.

DOHA -- Qatar's deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs on Wednesday said that Saudi Arabia suspended negotiations with Qatar over the Gulf crisis suddenly without any clear reasons.
