DAMASCUS -- As many as 2,700 Turkish military vehicles have been sent to Syria over the past 19 days, as part of the Turkish tactic to send military equipment in Idlib province in northwestern Syria and the northern province of Aleppo, a war monitor reported Saturday.

A Turkish convoy of 80 vehicles entered Idlib on Saturday alone, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. (Syria-Turkey-Military Deployment)

ISTANBUL -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday said a road map on Syria's Idlib was determined after his phone conversations with Russian, French and German leaders.

"After all the evaluations, we determined our road map," Erdogan noted at an event in Turkey's western province of Izmir. (Turkey-Syria)

TEHRAN -- An Iranian official on Saturday announced that another person had died from COVID-19, pushing the country's total death toll to six.

The governor of Markazi province Ali Aghazadeh said that the person who died from COVID-19 in the central city of Arak also suffered from a heart disease, the official IRNA news agency reported. (Iran-COVID-19)

RAMALLAH -- Three Palestinian universities on Saturday signed a cooperation agreement on Chinese language teaching.

Under the agreement, Al-Quds University, which hosts the only Confucius Institute in Palestine, will overlook the implementation of the agreement in terms of providing educational programs and language teachers appointed by the Chinese government. (Palestine-China-Language-Cooperation) Enditem
