DOHA, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a session of talks with visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on bilateral relations and means to enhance them, the Royal Court said Thursday.

During the talks earlier in the day, the two sides discussed ways to develop cooperation in economic, investment and energy fields.

They also exchanged views on key regional and international issues of mutual interest.

During Khan's visit, Sheikh Tamim approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in Islamabad on June 22, 2019, to set up the joint Qatari-Pakistani working group on trade and investment.

The Qatari emir also approved another MoU on cooperation in the tourist field, which was signed on the same date in the Pakistani capital.
