CAIRO -- The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday the discovery of 13 new cases of COVID-19, raising the number of the coronavirus cases discovered in Egypt to 80.
"The 13 new cases tested positive for COVID-19 today and six of them had no symptoms," said the ministry's spokesman Khaled Megahed, noting that the new cases included 10 Egyptians and three foreigners of different nationalities. (Egypt-Coronavirus)

DAMASCUS -- Two Turkish soldiers and three Turkey-backed Syrian rebels were killed on Thursday by an explosion in northwestern Syria, a war monitor reported.
The blast was caused by a booby-trapped truck that ripped through a checkpoint manned by Turkish and Syrian rebels in the village of Tal Halaf in the countryside of Ras al-Ayn city in the northwestern province of Hasakah, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. CAIRO -- At least 13 passengers were wounded in a collision between two trains in Egypt, the Egyptian Health Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
Media reports said the accident took place in Giza province near the capital Cairo when a train coming from Upper Egypt's Aswan province hit a motionless one from Sohag province. (Egypt-Train Collision) Enditem
