CAIRO -- Egypt confirmed on Sunday 33 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total cases in the country to 327, the Egyptian Health Ministry said in a statement.

Besides, four new deaths have been confirmed on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 14, the ministry's spokesman Khaled Megahed revealed in the statement. (Egypt-COVID-19)

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian Health Ministry on Sunday confirmed the first novel coronavirus case in the country, state TV reported.

ALGIERS -- Algeria on Sunday announced the activation of level III alert for the spread of the novel coronavirus, as infection cases have been reported in at least 17 out of the 48 provinces in the North African country.
