11 new COVID-19 cases detected in Oman

MUSCAT, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Oman registered 11 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 66, the health ministry announced on Monday.

Nine of the cases are Omani citizens who traveled recently while two others are expatriates, according to a health ministry statement.

Oman's government appealed to citizens to observe the quarantine procedures, avoid public gatherings or places of worship, and ensure public hygiene. Enditem
