China steel futures open higher

SHANGHAI, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Steel futures opened higher Wednesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

The most active construction steel rebar contract for May delivery was up 48 yuan (about 6.76 U.S. dollars) to open at 3,461 yuan a tonne.

The most active May 2020 contract for hot rolled coils, mainly used in cars and appliances, was up 77 yuan to open at 3,360 yuan a tonne. Enditem
