China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (U.S. routes) drops slightly

NINGBO, March 28 (Xinhua) -- The China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reported slight drops in freight indices for the U.S. routes.
The NCFI, reflecting freight rate changes of 21 routes departing from the Ningbo-Zhoushan port, stood at 759.0 points Friday, down 1.7 percent compared with last week.
The sub-readings for the east and west coast of the United States quoted 970.7 points and 952.8 points, down 1.3 percent and up 1.4 percent from last week respectively.
According to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange, each shipping alliance continues to maintain control over transportation capacity, and the supply and demand of the shipping routes are basically stable.
