Shanghai gold futures open higher

SHANGHAI, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures opened higher Thursday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

The most active gold contract for June delivery was up 0.16 yuan (about 2 U.S. cents) to open at 370.5 yuan a gram.
