QINGDAO, April 24 (Xinhua) -- A forest fire that broke out and was contained in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao on Thursday started to burn again on Friday noon, local authorities said.
The fire is still spreading and residents nearby have been evacuated. No casualties have been reported so far, said the government of Qingdao's Huangdao district.
The forest fire first broke out at around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the western area of the Xiaozhu Mountain in Huangdao. Over 1,000 firefighters, two fire airplanes, and more than 70 fire engines were battling the blaze. Enditem
