CAIRO -- Egypt's third German-made submarine Type 209/1400 arrived in the Alexandria Naval Base to join the fleet of the Egyptian naval forces on Tuesday, the Egyptian military said.

Led by an Egyptian crew, Submarine S43 sailed for 20 days from Germany's Kiel to Egypt's port city Alexandria, covering a distance of 7,800 kilometers, Egyptian military spokesman Tamer al-Refai said in a statement. (Egypt-Germany-Submarine)

JERUSALEM -- Iran has begun reducing its forces in Syria and pulling out of some bases in the country, the Israeli media reported on Tuesday.

MUSCAT -- Oman signed a deal with China's tech giant Huawei on Tuesday to jointly develop Oman's digital society as well as its information and communications technology (ICT) ecosystem.

TEHRAN -- The United States should lift the "unlawful" sanctions against Iran to prove that it is sincere in offering help in the battle against the novel coronavirus, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday.
