RAMALLAH -- Palestine on Tuesday declared the abolition of all agreements and understandings with Israel and the U.S. in protest against the Israeli plan to annex parts of the West Bank.
"The Palestine Liberation Organization and the State of Palestine are absolved, as of today, of all the agreements and understandings with the American and Israeli governments and of all the obligations based on these understandings and agreements, including the security ones," said Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the end of an urgent leadership meeting held in Ramallah. JERUSALEM -- An Etihad Airways flight, carrying aid to the Palestinians, landed in Israel on Tuesday night, marking the first known commercial flight from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Israel.

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu filed on Tuesday a request not to stand before the court at the opening session of his criminal trial next week.
In the request, Netanyahu's lawyers say that his presence was "unnecessary" and would cost "a fortune." According to the lawyers, the prime minister's attending in court would require five security guards. (Israel-Netanyahu Trial)

TEHRAN -- Iranian top security official said on Tuesday that the United States has failed to gather support to renew a UN Security Council's arms embargo against Iran.
