National Museum of China joins hands with Tsinghua University to protect cultural relics

BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The National Museum of China has joined hands with Tsinghua University to establish a joint research center for the scientific and technological protection of cultural relics, according to Thursday's China Tourism News.

The move aims to promote the in-depth integration of cultural relics protection and science and technology.

All-round cooperation on environmental monitoring of the museum's cultural relics collection, restoration of traditional paintings, protection of ancient books and documents and other aspects will be carried out at the joint research center.

The two sides will also organize teams to carry out research on key technologies for the scientific and technological protection of cultural relics, as well as train high-level and interdisciplinary experts in this field. Enditem
