HONG KONG, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) said as of 4:00 p.m. local time on Saturday no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 has been recorded, and the total number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong remained at 1,065.

"Given that the situation of COVID-19 infection remains severe and that there is a continuous increase in the number of cases reported around the world, members of the public are strongly urged to avoid all non-essential travel outside Hong Kong," a spokesman for the CHP said.

The CHP also urged the public to maintain an appropriate social distancing and avoid social activities, such as meal gatherings, to minimize the risk of infection. Enditem
