China steel futures open lower

SHANGHAI, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Steel futures opened lower Monday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

The most active construction steel rebar contract for October delivery was down 32 yuan (about 4.51 U.S. dollars) to open at 3,515 yuan a tonne.

The most active October 2020 contract for hot rolled coils, mainly used in cars and appliances, was down 31 yuan to open at 3,420 yuan a tonne. Enditem
