SHANGHAI, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed higher Monday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for July delivery was up 2.9 yuan (about 41 U.S. cents) to close at 278.1 yuan a barrel.
The total trading volume for 14 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 212,364 lots, with a turnover of about 60.16 billion yuan.
