SHANGHAI, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures closed higher Monday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
The most active gold contract for December delivery was up 5.24 yuan (about 74 U.S. cents) to close at 397.5 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for eight listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 224,132 lots, with a turnover of about 88.81 billion yuan.
