ZHENGZHOU, June 23 (Xinhua) -- PTA (purified terephthalic acid) futures closed lower Tuesday in daytime trading on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE).
The most active PTA contract for September 2020 delivery lost 22 yuan (about 3.11 U.S. dollars) to close at 3,704 yuan per tonne.
On Tuesday, the total trading volume for 10 listed PTA futures contracts on the ZCE was 682,499 lots with a turnover of 12.76 billion yuan.
As the world's largest producer and consumer of PTA, China listed PTA futures on the ZCE in 2006 and opened them to international investors in November 2018.
