BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Here are the highlights of education news in China from the past week:

-- China moves to promote health on school campuses

Ministry of Education has required establishing school-based public health systems and improving public health emergency response mechanisms on campuses.

The ministry called for efforts to improve campus sanitation, including ensuring safe drinking water and strengthening disinfection and ventilation.

-- College graduates helped to find jobs online

A government-sponsored online recruiting service platform has offered more than 13 million job posts for Chinese college graduates since its launch in March, amid the COVID-19 fallout.

A total of 29 special online job fairs have been held on the "24365" platform, offering nearly 5 million job vacancies in fields including strategic emerging industries and health care.

-- China's medical education accrediting agency awarded WFME recognition status

The Working Committee for the Accreditation of Medical Education, the agency that accredits medical education programs in China, has been awarded recognition status by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).

The move signals that China's medical education field has put in place standards and an accrediting system with international substantive equivalence, winning international recognition for its quality of medical education accreditation. Enditem
