BEIJING, July 1 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

ION IMPLANTER

China's independently developed ion implanter has created a high-energy, ion acceleration of a million electron volts, according to the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation on Sunday.

The ion implanter is crucial to chip manufacturing, and the high-energy ion implanter is necessary for the integrated circuit manufacturing of logic, memory, and image sensors.

NURSING SIMULATION PLATFORM

China has launched its first virtual nursing simulation platform for COVID-19, aiming to provide teaching to medical students, and popularize knowledge of epidemic prevention and control among the public.

The platform, developed by the West China School of Nursing of Sichuan University in southwest China's Sichuan Province, is accessible on the school's official website, which launched on June 28. Users can register to experience the simulative treatment process.

BDS SATELLITE

The newly-launched last satellite of China's BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) has entered the geostationary earth orbit (GEO), according to the Xi'an Satellite Control Center Tuesday.
