WUHAN, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Having done nucleic acid tests, Chinese Super League (CSL) outfit Wuhan Zall is ready to have warm-up games outside of central China's Hubei province, where the team is based, the club said.

"The players have been adjusting their physical and psychological state through intra-squad warm-up matches," said Fan Ruiqi, Zall's spokesperson, adding that the team has done several rounds of nucleic acid tests and will play in south China's Guangdong province in the coming days to better prepare for the new season.

For the 2020 season, Zall recruited former Sevilla player Daniel Carrico, French Ligue 1 side Amien's midfielder Eddy Gnahore, and Hu Jinghang, striker of China's U-23 team. Zall is expecting the two foreign players to return to China as soon as possible.

The club, who finished sixth last season in the CSL, is training hard for the coming season beginning on July 25. "We do not like talking big. We will just play every game to our best and show the competence of Hubei football," said Fan.

With a total of 68,135 confirmed COVID-19 cases, Hubei province was once hard hit by the pandemic. The province was cleared of all its confirmed COVID-19 cases on June 4. Enditem
