BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Former Italian international striker Graziano Pelle has landed in China's southeastern city of Xiamen and will join up with his Chinese Super League (CSL) club Shandong Luneng after a mandatory 14-day quarantine, a report from Chinese portal Netease said on Thursday.

Pelle's Brazilian teammate Roger Guedes will reportedly arrive in China on July 11, while Luneng's Hungarian defender Tamas Kadar is currently undergoing his 14-day quarantine and is expected to join up with his teammates on July 17.

The arrival of overseas players, including former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, Moises Lima, and new signing Leonardo Rodrigues Pereira, has boosted Shandong Luneng's hopes for the upcoming CSL season.

Head coach Li Xiaopeng, who was awarded CSL "Coach of The Year" in 2018 and 2019, will be able to focus solely on the domestic league, as the club have no AFC Champions League commitments this year.

Shandong Luneng will join 2019 CSL champions Guangzhou Evergrande in Group A of the 2020 CSL's revised tournament format in Dalian.

Other teams in Group A are 2019 CFA Cup winners Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, Jiangsu Suning, Henan Jianye, Dalian Pro, Guangzhou R&F, and Shenzhen FC. Enditem
