BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Prices of farm produce in China saw a slight increase last week, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed Tuesday.
From July 6 to 12, the overall price of farm produce rose 0.8 percent on a weekly basis, narrowing by 0.4 percentage points from the growth logged a week earlier.
In breakdown, the wholesale price of pork, a staple meat in China, went up 3.5 percent to 47.9 yuan (about 6.9 U.S. dollars) per kg, while that of mutton increased by 0.1 percent.
The average wholesale price of 30 types of vegetables dropped 1.4 percent from a week earlier, while that of six types of fruits fell 0.7 percent, the data showed.
