QINGDAO, China, July 19 (Xinhua) -- With two players notching over 20 points, the Shenzhen Aviators dealt the Zhejiang Lions a 94-87 loss in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Sunday.

Lu Yiwen racked up a game-high 27 points for Shenzhen, and his teammate Yang Linyi contributed 20 points, shooting five of eight from the three-point range. Hu Jinqiu of Zhejiang posted 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

"Throughout the whole match, we made too many mistakes and our opponents took the advantage," rued Zhejiang head coach Li Chunjiang at the post-game press conference.

Shenzhen pummeled their opponents on a 13-0 run as Zhejiang were not in their rhythm at the offensive end, finishing the first quarter with an 11-point deficit. The Lions woke up with fast breaks and ended the first quarter 43-39.

"We built a big lead at the beginning and they came back, but we pulled ourselves together later. Everyone played hard," said Shenzhen coach Qiu Biao.

Shenzhen only gained a one-point advantage to enter the last quarter as both sides played hard in the third period, but led by Yang, the Aviators showcased their aggressiveness with two three-pointers to hold off attacks. Enditem
