TEHRAN -- Iranian agents have captured the head of a "terrorist" group based in the United States, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced, quoted by Tasnim news agency on Saturday.

Fars news agency has identified the captured as Jamshid Sharmahd, leader of the Tondar group, linked to the royalist Kingdom Assembly of Iran, based in Los Angeles, U.S. (Iran-U.S.-Terror)

DUBAI -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced on Saturday the start-up operations of its first nuclear power plant in capital Abu Dhabi.

BAGHDAD -- An Iraqi health official on Saturday said that the recent increase of COVID-19 cases is an alarming sign as the Health Ministry reported 2,095 daily new infections in the country.

The Iraqi Deputy Health Minister Hazim al-Jumaili said in a statement that "the ministry has warned many times of the failure to comply with the health preventive measures that would lead to an increase in COVID-19 infections in the country." (Iraq-COVID-19)

BEIRUT -- Lebanese President Michel Aoun urged on Saturday the Lebanese army to protect Lebanon's sovereignty against Israel, said a statement by Lebanon's Presidency.
