SHANGHAI, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures closed higher Thursday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
The most active gold contract for December 2020 delivery was up 8.62 yuan (about 1.24 U.S. dollars) to close at 447.56 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for eight listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 351,706 lots, with a turnover of about 156.8 billion yuan.
