BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- China's legal sector has provided over 1,900 jobs for college graduates without professional certifications amid efforts to boost employment, the All China Lawyers Association said Friday.
The move was part of a government initiative launched in April to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the country's job market, according to a press conference held by the association.
Provisional recruitment measures were rolled out, encouraging employers in the education, legal and care sectors, among others, to hire eligible college graduates before they obtain professional certifications.
Such graduates can apply for a license to practice law after they complete their internship provided that they have obtained professional certification either during their internship or within one year of its completion, according to the measures.
Statistics from the association showed that lawyers associations across the country have formulated specific rules for implementing the recruitment measures. Online internship application channels are available to college graduates in most regions. Enditem
