NINGBO, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- The China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reported a stable trend in freight indices in the U.S. routes.

The NCFI, reflecting freight rate changes of 21 routes departing from the Ningbo-Zhoushan port, stood at 837.3 points Friday, up 1.2 percent compared with last week.

The sub-readings for the east and west coasts of the United States quoted 1,207.8 points and 1,860.8 points, up 0.4 percent and down 0.3 percent from last week respectively.

According to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange, the shipping space is tight, and most liner companies maintained the market freight rates.
