KUNMING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Both the men's and women's singles finals saw the sixth seeds claim victory at the Chinese Tennis Association (CTA) Tour in southwest China's city of Anning on Saturday.
In the men's singles final, Hua Runhao prevailed in a close fight against ninth seed Mo Yecong 7-5, 7-6 (4).
Hua was 2-5 down in the first set, before staging a strong response, taking five games in a row to seal the opener.
In the second set, Hua broke his opponent in the third game and held serve to go up 3-1. Mo got a break in the sixth game to pull level at 3-all. Both players then held serve to force a tiebreak that Hua claimed with strong serves and fewer unforced errors.
In the women's singles title clash, sixth seed Wang Meiling blew away Cao Siqi in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, winning her first singles title since turning pro.
Hua also partnered with Zhang Zhizhen to win the men's doubles title with a straight-set 7-5, 7-5 victory against top seed Zhang Ze and Gong Maoxin. In the women's doubles final, top seed Han Xinyun and Zhu Aiwen beat Tang Qianhui and Jiang Xinyu in 6-2, 4-6, 10-6. Enditem
