DALIAN, China, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Dalian Professional and Shanghai Greenland Shenhua had to settle for a point apiece as the two sides battled out a 2-2 draw in the fourth round of the 2020 Chinese Super League season on Monday.

Kim Shin-wook broke the deadlock for Shenhua seven minutes after kick-off. Shenhua could have added a second by Peng Xinli in the 59th minute, but his header went wide.

Seven minutes later, Salomon Rondon equalized with a volley that beat Feng Xiaoting, Zeng Cheng and young defender Zhu Chenjie.

Although Rafa Benitez's Dalian side had scored goals in every game this season, they have failed to win any matches so far since the delayed 2020 CSL season began on July 25.

In Monday's match, Dalian's nightmare continued on their home soil, as Qian Jiegei put Shenhua ahead again with an outstanding free-kick in the 72nd minute. Yu Hanchao could have scored a third for Shenhua in the 88th minute, but his lob was denied by Dalian keeper Zhang Chong.

Just before the final whistle, Rondon spared Dalian's blushes by converting a penalty awarded after Qian had fouled the Venezuelan striker in the box.

"We almost snatched victory, but had to accept the result. Our players were fighting till the end, I hope our footballers to keep up their spirits," Shenhua head coach Choi Kang-hee said afterwards.

In the other CSL game played on Monday, Henan Jianye came back from a goal down against Shenzhen FC to win 2-1 and earn their first victory of the 2020 CSL season.

Shenzhen had a dream start to the match, as Gao Lin's smart pass found Ole Selnaes, who squared for John Mary to turn in from close range after just two minutes.

However, Shenzhen was dealt a blow in the 33rd minute as Zhang Yuan was sent off after a dangerous foul on Du Changjie.

Jianye equalized before the break with a stroke of luck, as Shenzhen's Jiang Zhipeng accidentally chested a cross into his own net.

Jianye scored what turned out to be the winner in the 62nd minute as Fernando Karanga headed home Zhou Dingyang's left-wing cross. Enditem
