Shanghai reports 6 new imported COVID-19 cases

SHANGHAI, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai reported six new imported COVID-19 cases and no increase in domestically-transmitted cases on Sunday, the municipal health commission said Monday.

All the imported cases were Chinese nationals working in the Republic of Guinea, Maldives or Iraq.

All the cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 132 close contacts of the patients on the same flights have been put under quarantine.

As of Sunday, Shanghai had reported 561 confirmed imported cases and 342 locally transmitted cases. Enditem
