CHENGDU, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Qingdao Renzhou continued their momentum to win in the fifth round of the 2020 China Badminton Super League (CBSL) as they crushed Shenzhen Nankeda 5-0 here on Wednesday.
Du Yue/Li Wenmei stormed to a 11-5, 11-2, 11-2 victory over Yu Jingwen/Gao Kaijia in the women's doubles, before Chen Yufei beat Han Luxuan 11-5, 11-4, 11-6 in the women's singles, gaining the first two points for Qingdao.
"I didn't play well in the last game, so I prepared a lot for today's match. Also, I like watching other shuttlers play when I'm free. I think I can learn from them," said Chen, the world No. 2.
Qingdao then took the remaining three points with Zheng Siwei/Zhang Yining, Lu Guangzu and Wang Yilv/Luo Xumin all winning in the men's doubles, men's singles and mixed doubles respectively.
"It is a challenge for me to partner with three different teammates in three games. I need to make adjustments every time and that helps me to improve my skills in the men's doubles," said Zheng, who is two-time and defending world champion in mixed doubles.
Xiamen Tefang overcame Zhejiang Nengyuan 4-1, with Olympic champion Chen Long easing past Lin Guipu 11-6, 11-5, 11-2 in the men's singles.
"The loss is acceptable, because I haven't played games for a year due to waist injuries, which also affected my training these days. I just hope to try my best in every game," said Lin, gold medalist at the 2014 world youth championships.
In the other games on Wednesday, Anhui Souyu lost to Hunan Hualai 4-1, while Ruichang Biyuan beat Jiangsu Weikeduo 4-1, ranking second in the standings behind Qingdao. Enditem
