SHANGHAI, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures closed higher Tuesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
The most active gold contract for December 2020 delivery was up 0.72 yuan (about 11 U.S. cents) to close at 416.56 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for seven listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 178,035 lots, with a turnover of about 74.12 billion yuan.
