Emergency rescue drill held for 2020 Beijing Winter Olympics

BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- China on Saturday held an emergency rescue drill in Chongli District of Zhangjiakou City, north China's Hebei Province to prepare for the 2020 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Volunteers simulated a series of operations including trauma rescue, emergency relief and transporting the wounded by helicopter during the drill.

The second Saturday of September every year marks the World First Aid Day.

The drill was jointly carried out by the Red Cross societies in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

The Red Cross Society of China has fully started its services for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games. Enditem
