DALIAN, China, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- John Mary scored twice as Shenzhen FC beat Henan Jianye 3-1 in the 11th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL), while Dalian Pro conceded a late goal in a 1-1 draw with Shanghai Shenhua on Monday.

In a game that was essentially decided in the first half, striker Mary raced to receive a ball in the box and scored to give Shenzhen a lead in the 4th minute.

The Cameroonian added another six minutes later on cross by Harold Preciado. Referee Fu Ming awarded the goal after reviewing VAR.

However, the top Shenzhen scorer was substituted with a suspected groin strain in the 43rd minute.

"Mary is our key player and his goals tell everything," said Shenzhen coach Jordi Cruijff. "His problem is not clear and we have to wait. I hope he will back soon because we have more games in very short period."

Shenzhen captain Gao Lin put the game to bed on 28 minutes when he scored from a tight angle after Preciado's header parried by Jianye keeper Wang Guoming.

Christian Bassogog tapped in a late goal for Jianye but that couldn't alter the outcome.

In the game played against Shenhua, Dalian forward Jose Rondon blasted a curling shot past outstretched Zeng Cheng into the net in the 33rd minute.

But with four minutes to go into stoppage time in the second half, Shenhua equalized when centre-back Bi Jinhao took scoring chance from very close range. Enditem
